Modernistyczny budynek zlokalizowany jest w sąsiedztwie kołobrzeskiego molo. Zbudowany został na miejscu zniszczonego w 1945 r. (podczas działań wojennych) sanatorium Strandschloß (Zamku Plażowego, Pałacu Nadbrzeżnego). Powstał według projektu Haliny Gurianowej i Edmunda Goldzamta, zaś oddany do użytku w 1964 r. jako ośrodek sanatoryjno-wypoczynkowy Centralnej Rady Związków Zawodowych.
