About the Exhibition
The exhibition ‘Wrocław 1945–2016’ tells the story of the post-war fate of the city and its residents, who, coming from different parts of Poland and the Eastern Borderlands, rebuilt the social, cultural, and academic life of the city from scratch.
This scenographic, interactive, and multimedia display is enriched with thousands of photos, audio-visual materials, and unique, original exhibits.
Visitors can listen to testimonies of witnesses, participate in the Peace Race, sign the Letter of the Polish Bishops to the German Bishops, discover what Tadeusz Różewicz kept in his drawer, or even step into the role of an underground opposition printer.
The Depot Centre is a venue for modern historical exhibitions, as well as educational and cultural projects. The main exhibition, set in a former tram depot, is dedicated to the entire post-war history of Wrocław, Lower Silesia, and other regions incorporated into Poland as a result of World War II.
The exhibitions are designed using the latest and most innovative display techniques, ensuring an engaging and immersive experience for visitors.
